Korean tech company LG is looking to have PS3 and BRAVIA TVs prevented from being sold in the US.
According to documents obtained by Eurogamer, LG says in the complaint that Sony is infringing four patents belonging to the company in relation to “certain electronic devices having a Blu-Ray Disc player and components thereof.”
PS3 – more specifically, model no. CECH-2501A – is the only specific Sony product mentioned in the main document.
IPC are the only group with power to block the sale of imported goods that infringe US patents.
A Bloomberg report suggests that LG is getting back at Sony for a previous complaint from it over patents the Korean company infringed last December.
